Pathri is a small town in the eastern Nepal. It is in Morang District of Koshi State. It is bigger than average villages of Nepal in comparison to facilities and services but not quiet big enough to be called a city or Municipality in Nepal’s standard.
It is mainly built on both sides of the East-West Highway, but mainly on the south side of the road. It has population of about 20,000 thousands living in Pathri. On the east of Pathir lies Manglabare and Urlabari, the most eastern town of Morang District and Bhutanese refugee camp on the west of Pathri just across a small stream also called Pathir Khola.
Like many mid size towns and cities of Nepal, Pathri’s economy is mixed business, from retail, to real estate (जग्गा दलाल), agriculture, local business and banking
